Dr. Klein-Areas of Practice

Psychotherapy

Weekly psychotherapy is offered at a minimal pace of once weekly. We can and should co-determine how this goes together in a way that is tailored to you, and not to any pre-conceived notions of how therapy is supposed to unfold. You and I will become a team who each gain expertise on helping you though each discussion we have together.

Psychoanalaysis

Psychoanalysis is the most comprehensive and sophisticated form of therapy offered. A clinician must be a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and subsequently train for 5 years for over 20 hours weekly. This training includes personal analysis for the trainee, didactic course work, and supervision for 3-5 full cases. Psychoanalysis involves 3 to 4 meetings weekly for a period of time that cannot and should not be pre-specified. You would be endeavoring to unfold and examine your personality in the deepest way possible and in the context of our regular conversations together. Anyone wishing to engage in psychoanalytic treatment with me must undergo introductory sessions in order to assess whether such a comprehensive approach is suitable for you. Forensic Expert Witness, Psychological Testing

I am a recognized expert in psychological testing. I have been a forensic expert in criminal and civil courts on single cases and class action suits. I have also completed hundreds of private personality profiles for clients. I have been a federal assessor for PTSD/damages in theaters of war, a correctional psychologist-assessor, an appointed juvenile justice evaluator, and have provided many testing/measurement reports for a variety of purposes.

My training as a psychoanalyst in combination with my forensic experience tends to make me a compelling speaker and writer.

If you are an attorney seeking my services as an expert or consultant, I would begin by meeting you in order to discuss important aspects of our working together.
